There are days in Bavaria when the weather simply leaves nothing more to be wanted, when the sun shines from a cloudless sky, there is minimal humidity, the thermometer hovers around 25 degrees and there is but the hint of a mild zephyr to animate the leaves of the shading chestnut trees.
And the ideal enjoyment of such meteorological perfection is to laze in a beer-garden, to take a table for lunch and then let the afternoon hours drift by as they will.
