Warm and fuzzy

You can feel like that about architecture? Yes, when it looks as sexy as this building planned for Miami. I wish more of the developments looming in the Sandlands had this panache.

The Inhabitat (link in my blogroll) website informs us that the $40 million, 25-story, “COR” building will incorporate mixed-use residential and commercial space, integrating green technologies including wind turbines, photovoltaic panels, and solar hot water generation. The building’s exoskeleton is a hyper-efficient structure that provides thermal mass for insulation, shade for residents, and architectural elements such as terraces and armatures that support turbines.

Warm and fuzzy is also how you feel as the recipient of a nice, affectionate hug. Although, as I know too well, when your favourite hug-sharer is far distant there's not a lot you can do except sigh.

Until now. Via Gizmodos 'teledildonics' department comes news of a system which allows the hugger to send to the hugee a text message. This triggers, via Bluetooth, sensors in a sweater
which then, presumably, exert various hug-simulating pressures upon the wearer's torso.

The telehug guys win my sympathy by using a 'clone' photo to promote their idea. Which gives me an excuse to post a super self-portrait of Miss Aniela who promises the imminent delivery of a Christmas-themed clone creation very, very soon.

And that about does it for 'warm and fuzzy' for today.
