The office in which I sit when exercising the duties of my 'day job' has a wonderful view of the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Soldiers riding camels were one of the UAE National Day highlights for which I had my own grandstand view.
But this coming weekend camel-power will give way to horsepower, before my very eyes.
This week's Arabian Business News has a piece which informs me that World champion Fernando Alonso, Rubens Barrichello, Ralf Schumacher, Scott Speed and Christijan Albers will all be driving while the McLaren, Honda, Toyota, BMW-Sauber, Super Aguri, Toro Rosso, Spyker and Red Bull teams have all confirmed their attendance. And with cars burning some serious rubber up and down from the Corniche through to the Marina Mall it will make for a spectacular sight.
