Media tools in new hands

Every year John Brockman asks a question of a widespread community of thinkers and publishes it on Edge.org. Howard Rheingold of the USC Annenberg Center gave this answer on 1 January to the question "What are you optimistic about?" His headline: The tools of cultural production in the hands of teens, reason for optimism.

I would add seniors, of course.
