Road surprises

Here in the Sandlands 'road surprises' take many and varied forms.

Some of these are due to the clash of driving cultures in a small country with residents of many, many very different national origins.

Others are on account of simple stupidity; the need to be the fastest on the highway and damn any speed limits, the need to advance with flashing lights on the rear fender of the car ahead to the wish - if not the presumably inalienable right - to overtake.

Sometimes the weather surprises the local drivers; a rare rainy day sees the accident rate double!

But at least we don't have ice. And I've written enough to justify the posting of the video below.
