The Radically Changing Video-Based Media Industry

Radical change, indeed. Back in the mid-80s I reckoned floppies were pretty cool. My 512K Mac needed two to function. Tiny miracles, I thought.

Now we learn that the engineers at the amazing Frauenhofer Institute have come up with a full HDTV image capture device (camera would hardly be a suitable term) which is a compact 4x4x8 centimetres. It will be previewed at CeBIT, which is just over the horizon in March.

Radical disruptive and discontinuous change. Pass the popcorn — for media industry geeks, this drama gets better every episode, says Scott Karp from Publishing 2.0, helpfully re-blogged on Unmediated.
