Former Walt Disney CEO Michael Eisner's investment fund Torante recently made an investment in the world of digital media in the form of the site Vuguru. Vuguru is a studio that creates high-quality web content in the form of 90 second episodes. Once produced the video is distributed on sites like YouTube.

On YouTube and the like video is typically created by users in low-budget fashion. Having a studio designed to produce higher quality content may start to be a trend on these sites that look like they're not going away anytime soon.

Vuguru is set to launch today. It seems apposite to post a recent quotation by Michael Rosenblum:

"For people caught in the midst of a fast technological change, they have two options: They can fight it, hold fast to the old ways of doing things and hope to last until their retirement or they die. Or, they can change, embrace a wholly new way of working, thinking, producing and making a living."

Yes, sir!
