"I want to work in the media!"

Many of the younger generation claim to have as their goal a career in the media. Even here in the Sandlands media curricula are well subscribed, training courses increasingly popular. And if new graduates have done a single piece-to-camera on work experience they are looking for employers who'll let them put on their business cards Senior Presenter or even Producer.

Of course, one of the reasons that most of the 250 satellite channels beaming up from Dubai Media City are so lamentably awful is that such employers exist!
