
I can't say I fully agree that podcasting is no longer a viable medium. To me it's still a tool which needs to be available in the digital tool-box.
Successful podcasting requires, as the article points out, seriality. And it must be accepted that most are not listened to on the Cupertino device while commuting, but on breaks from domestic or workplace tedium. Not that different from blogs in this respect. As for monetization... yes, well...
