Flattered... after a fashion!

The Flight of the Conchords is a strange but hugely praised sitcom I have read about but never seen. The gimmick is that the geeky protagonists burst into song at the drop of a hat. To my absolute astonishment, in the clip embedded below they deliver a persiflage of Space Oddity, the clip which launched David Bowie's career and which I directed back in 1969.

I'm amazed at their popularity, given that even I, who is used to interpreting the Kiwi accent, sometimes have trouble with understanding what these guys are saying.

They even won a Grammy this year!
