After rhapsodising last week about the supremely elegant way we used to travel to Paris back in the sixties... taking the Night Ferry train from Victoria Station through to Gare du Nord... I was reminded by the video embedded below that it was a very slow journey, taking the best part of ten hours.
And what is the best alternative today?
