One year in Munich

I arrived thinking I would be splitting my time between the Sandlands and southern Germany in 2008. I had envisaged roughly a 30:70 ratio. It turned out to be 5:95!



The good side of this is, as my regular readers know, the companionship of my daughter (above left), the 'Jungbrunnen' effect when she and her classmates crash into the café where I have my dinners and the feeling of living in a city with a unique quality of life.



But there are a few more of us, in another city, London. And, although I can take neither fatherly nor grand-fatherly credit in any way, I reckon they're a grand looking bunch and I wish them the best year!
