Preparing for Cannes #2

Wisdom imparted here, reminding those who have ears to listen that in the media industry, too, everything has changed. This scares so many people. Me? It totally turns me on!



And on the Mip TV blog Matt Costello laments the relegation of 'creativity' to a minor role in the welter of PowerPoint stifled pitches as scared committees try to look for the path forward.

"In other words… no brainstorming, no discussions and debates, no pushing ideas out of the gravitational pull of the mundane and then reeling them back to begin building something cool, innovative and immediately compelling."


The gravitational pull of the mundane... such an apt turn of phrase.
