Words to live by, indeed!

Taking them to heart would mean making a serious effort to complete my second novel and ending it before page 1,000 of the manuscript is reached.

It would also mean making serious plans to establish a sort of beach-head in my native Scotland. After all, the winters there cannot be much more foul than this past one was here in Munich.

"Shut up and get on with it!"
