My predisposition to approve of President Obama is reinforced by the news that after attending the very moving D Day ceremony above Omaha beach he found time that evening to have dinner in an environment so quintessentially French as La Fontaine de Mars.An appreciation of such establishments is, for me, the mark of a civilized person, whatever their nationality or station in life.
