Thinking small

The new Nano from Tata Motors will, according to some reports, be on sale in the USA within a couple of years. It seems that Americans are embracing downsizing.

But Tata Housing is also building the new Shubh Griha real estate development. The floor plan above left is of a very small apartment indeed. It would, in fact, suit an ancient single such as myself perfectly well. Indeed it would be a major improvement on my current abode (with its comedic Murphy bed). But flats even smaller than the model illustrated are being bought by families in India who find themselves fortunate to be thus able to improve their living conditions.

I doubt if Tata Housing have any plans to build in the land of McMansions.
