The foul November weather means wearing something warm is a day-in, day-out necessity. For the past two decades (excluding of course the years in the Sandlands) the sartorial recourse has been to a goose-down-filled parka in black leather, a style created for the Lothar label which unfortunately no longer produces menswear.
But the garment on the left, by Philip Lim and costing around a thousand dollars, could be a good looking and practical replacement. That's a rabbit fur lining to keep the wearer really snug.
And if I were to wear it for the next twenty winters that's a cost of fifty bucks annually. Sweet!
