A disgrace!

Although it rained rather aesthetically on Sarko's parade, the month of July was declared to be the warmest on record in many parts of Europe. Now, more than half way through the current month, August has a good chance of being the wettest and, certainly here in Munich, several degrees too cool.

However it seems improper to complain, given the plight of those suffering the catastrophes in China, Pakistan, Russia, Poland and most recently in the Czech Republic.

But summer, one could say, is not what it was.

And there must be someone to blame. Like the crazed and deluded Americans who subscribe to the Tea Party movement, I am angry that my summer has been collateralized by European regimes in thrall to dark forces, predicted in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion to be bent on our subjugation.

I blame the women of France! According to Time Magazine...

"If burning bras and going topless were the ways French women of the 1970s and 1980s demonstrated their freedom, their daughters and grand-daughters seem less comfortable with exposed flesh.  Fully 88% of the women [recently] questioned qualified themselves as pudique, a term that can mean anything from 'modest' or 'prim' to 'priggish'."

For proponents of Tea Party logic the connection must be abundantly clear!

Something must be done!
