Phone dumb, user smart

My T610, whose looks I still admire after all these years, will probably be around for a while. For communication with 'friends and family' I have migrated 100% to Skype. And I haven't had a fixed-line phone since I went off for my stint in the Sandlands in 2002.

But it was exciting to have the T610 when it was new, although it's hard to believe that fuzzy snapshots like the one posted here had us all starry eyed.

I wonder how soon there will be a completely autonomous Skype-specific mobile handset? Surely the telcos would make enough money from selling unlimited data plans to sell us access to their pipes?
