Colour me... monarchist!

The last time I was this close...

At exactly ten past six the cars passed beneath my window. And the three helicopters hovering overhead were further proof that this was no ordinary cortege.

Even in the darkness of late twilight I do believe I saw the Royal Standard not on your average Roller but on a black Land Rover.

And... the last time I was as close was when as a schoolboy, thirteen or fourteen years old perhaps, I used to stand close to the railway when the Royal Train passed north of Dundee, on the way to Aberdeen, when the family headed for Balmoral.

Okay, my friends. As of tomorrow I am German again. And not blogging again until Monday, after a working Saturday and Sunday in Dubai.
