Istabsir

Never have I seen a body of photographic work which so well expresses today's Dubai. The tilt-shift technique enhances the surreality of much that characterizes the amazing city built on sand. Gerald Donovan's photos, here available in a wonderful gallery, fully merit the Arabic term Istabsir, a command translated beautifully as "attentively reflect on and contemplate with respectful contemplation".
