Thought For The Day

The BBC Radio 4 morning magazine, Today, comes just at the right time for me to listen (when the iPlayer is inclined to be merciful!) from 10 am to 1 pm, more or less the time it takes to deal with the overnight emails and Google Reader items.

The show has a regular God slot, in which clergymen of all faiths (there's a Rabbi whose contributions are simply brilliant and an Imam with a wonderful Scottish accent) have a couple of minutes of airtime to offer their Thought For The Day. On this Christmas Eve the speaker was none other than one Josef Ratzinger, currently tenant of the Vatican.

The fact of his broadcast was unfortunately more interesting than anything he had to say.
