Am I alone in hating this so-called tool of social interaction on the web? If this is what passes for dialogue then I imagine that those who use it are limited to a vocabulary of grunts, to be interpreted as approval or disapproval... or maybe a wan smile or mild frown.

I basically hate it because it is either dyslexic about the idea of privacy, or chooses to ignore that idea because it wants people to 'share'. Muy americano del norte. However, it has proved very useful in the organising of events, and if you can find a way to shut out the background chatter (don't ask me how), it's not all bad. By the way, if you switch your language to 'English (pirate)', it becomes massively more entertaining!
