A tool noted in passing

Seven minutes of HDTV video at 19.39 Mbit/s is approximately 1 Gigabyte. Anyone wanting to contribute content to a curated video aggregator has in the past used DropBox or YouSendit and had to endure the upload time involved.

It seems to me that the merit of Sendoid is that it creates a URL which is a direct link to a file on your own computer, noting the path and pulling the data much in the same way that a torrent application does.

Sounds good to  a non-geek like me.
