I weep

Via Roba Al Assi's always perceptive blog I learn to my alarm of this...
"H&M admitted to the fact that the models they use to display their clothes on their website are, em, computer generated. Yup. You heard that correctly. The models that H&M uses to display clothes on their website consist of computer generated bodies. Because even horribly thin human models who starve themselves to death to look 'good on the catwalk' are not perfect enough. Because even Photoshop doesn’t cut it anymore."

Now my eye... and surely that of many men... is always caught when the H&M billboards announce the imminent arrival of spring with imagery of bodacious promise.

Spring will never now be the same, in the knowledge that that we are possibly being seduced by mere pixels.
