Good golly...


Dick Clark was a fixture in my daily life as a teenager in the United States in the late fifties. Look at the songs on the chart... "Get A Job" by the Silhouettes... "Sweet Little Sixteen" by Chuck Berry... "Good Golly Miss Molly" by Little Richard.

Note that all the artists above mentioned were African-Americans. Dick Clark did almost as much for racial integration as he did for rock 'n' roll.
