Reading matters

My transition from reading what some call 'booky-books'... physical paperbacks... to Kindle e-books coincided with my completion of the excellent Shardlake series by C.J.Sansom. Heartstone was as good as all of the other titles in this fascinating series.

My next e-book purchases, however, were books I would not have found on bookstore shelves. The self-published titles available via Kindle open up a huge range of reading choices, although I shall have to get the hang of e-browsing on Amazon. I made a stab at 'discovery' and with my first purchase I got lucky.

The Man on the Istanbul Train is a very civilized thriller with a sympathetic central character and I am planning to download the other titles of Maria Hudgins' series.
