Tunick in Munich

Such sights as this are not common in downtown Munich. At the weekend 1,700 people covered their nakedness with only either red or gold pigment and then formed the groupings commanded by the photographer Spencer Tunick.

This time Tunick's theme was cultural... Wagnerian to be precise.

A previous project was the dramatic installation on a Swiss glacier, a plea for awareness of climate change.

And, no, I was not one of those painted either red or gold! The Munich action was scheduled for the crack of dawn, when old codgers like me tend to still be fast asleep.
