I must own up to a pang of jealousy when I learned via the FlightAware tracking app that the flight from Paris to Washington would be on an A380-800. It's an aircraft I have only seen once... in Emirates livery, flying very low over the Burj al Arab in Dubai when the plane was brand new.
My envy abated rapidly when I saw that they were stuck on the ground at Charles de Gaulle for well over an hour before finally taking off.
