For reasons which my faithful followers have read repeatedly over the years, I am not a very Christmassy person. This does not, however, make me completely immune to the spirit of the season, even as I ignore all of the merchandise in lurid piles in my local supermarket.I am so not tempted and perversely pleased that I have never been so penniless in any previous December!

The viral video embedded above is a tear-jerker, already yesterday shared over 17 million times, a figure which has grown in the last twenty-four hours by another six million.
