Here we go!

My experience has always been that the last fortnight of an old year and the first fortnight of a new one is an excruciating hiatus for those of us who are free-lancers. And so it is that I breathe a sigh of relief when the calendar tells me we have reached mid-January and whoop with relief when the inbox actually advises of new assignments in the immediate future!

Further grounds for optimism is Jessi's return to Munich after her holiday in the United States. What an adventure! On the one hand, for her Washington DC being an increasingly familiar place. On the other hand their trip to New York gave them first-hand experience of the 'big freeze'. And it was in the Big Apple that she got the wonderful news that she has been offered a place at King's, as previously blogged.

So... yes... 2014 here we go!
