Storm damage

This was a stretch of railway I always wanted to experience... mesmerized back in the day by illustrations like the one in the middle on the left.

The collapse of the line at Dawlish is, of course, only one of the awful consequences of the atrocious weather which has visited so many different parts of England this winter.

And all the while in Munich we are still waiting for any sign of the freezing temperatures we expect at this time of year.
