Happy Turkey-day

Statistics indicate that this blog strangely enough gets a lots of hits from the Untied State. although I assume that most of these visits are accidental and of very short duration.

However for those who deign to linger longer I feel obliged to convey my Thanksgiving greetings.

Could there be a more appropriate image than the Norman Rockwell illustration? When we as a family emigrated in 1955 we honestly our destination would resemble Rockwell's America.

In some respects our expectations were met. And six decades ago it was a very different country. Nevertheless I persist in reflecting today that idealism.

Is it not preferable to posting a photo from Ferguson, Missouri?
