With tedious regularity over the past five years I have lamented about being absent from the twice yearly television program market events, MipCom and MipTV, in Cannes.
Today I must make an exception and admit that I am glad mot to be there... I own no wellies in which to wade through the floodwaters.
A metaphor? How well shod are the traditional media industries, now required to cope with the disruptive deluge of the new platforms and the 'social' mob?
As my Ma used to say "Take care! Don't get your feet wet!" Those attending Mip this week should be warned... "tu vas attraper la crève!"
