Looking ahead

The Podfather's last show of the year included a list of bold predictions for the future of media in 2007. I hoped they might be listed in the shownotes so that I could link to the text which would be worth reading and even re-reading and definitely thinking about in depth. But the full audio is here.

Looking ahead? I certainly am.

I'm happy to have been invited to be a beta tester of The Venice Project; this may get me over my doubts about P2P torrent viability in a 'long tail' mediasphere.

NewTeeVee offers us an Online Video Menu for 2007... here.

And I'm looking ahead to continued blogging and other adventures in cyberspace. I started to play with the tools available in mid-November and find it amazing that my freshman efforts have been viewed from Reykjavik, from Teheran and that 25% of the traffic is generated by repeat visitors.

So what if fewer than a hundred surfers have dropped by! WIth how many real-life people have I communicated
with over the last six weeks (not counting taxi drivers, waiters, shop assistants and those with whom I communicate in the context of my 'day job')? Certainly far fewer!
