There's more emerging about Andrew Barron's Abbey Core which, he claims is going to be entirely different from and much cleverer than Podshow. Why am I less than convinced? Because I think even the creator of Rocketboom (which post-Amanda I enjoy watching) is falling into theold danger of compartmentalization. Either you're just a content aggregator or you're just a content provider.
I'm playing with taglines along the lines of do-it-yourself media and conversational entertainment. It's no longer about either or. The creative and business concepts of the future must factor in both ends of the equation, methinks.
Chris Anderson is encouraging in the short interview he gave to Beet.TV, talking about 'long tail' business opportunities for individual video producers.
