Caledonia calling!

I have no idea why I feel the urge to reflect my Scottish roots today. Perhaps it was the result of receiving an invitation to an event which suggested that "business suit or National Dress" would be appropriate. Here in the Sandlands this invites the locals, of course, to turn out in their whiter-than-white Kanduras.

But I started thinking 'kilt', although I'll leave the bagpipes at home, I think.

Funny how our Caledonian heritage is enjoying a period of being thoroughly cool. The Dressed to Kilt events across the United States gathers celebrity Celts and inspires designers, as illustrated below.
