Higher and higher - one year on

Just over a year ago, on 27 November 2006, I posted under the title Higher and higher in Araby a note concerning the construction site next door to my flat. My tower block is now surrounded on all three sides by frantic building activity, much to the chagrin of my fellow residents who have lost not less than a hundred parking places in this crowded city. They may be taking comfort from the fact that the contours of a spiral ramp leading to a vast area of underground parking can be seen in the most recent shots.

Patience wil be called for though. Completion of the Central Market is forecast for 2010. Insh'allah.
