Suzanne

The song by Leonard Cohen, yes, proposed as today's Weekend Video. Why? Because I loved the song when I first heard it back in the day, which might partly be due to my lusting at the time after a young lady of that name.

Then there was a further affinity which revealed itself. For Twen Magazine David Hamilton was asked to evoke Suzanne in a series of photographs.



And this was a good few years before I took up the wonderful assignment of being David's manager. Hard to imagine that this was half-a-lifetime ago... his, not mine. David just turned 75 this year!



It's somehow appropriate that the video shows not Leonard Cohen singing but the lovely Francoise Hardy.
