Powerful symbolism

The front page of today's issue of The National features this wonderful photograph of Her Majesty's visit last night to the awe-inspiring Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Given the fact that the Queen is also head of the Anglican Church, the visit can be seen as historic.

The story also underlines the potential importance of a photo like this for Britain's beleaguered Muslim population.

I find this a true 'good news' story, and one which makes me happy to wear my British hat...
