"Love to Love You, Baby" was recorded at Musicland Studios here in Munich in 1975 under the direction of Giorgio Moroder. Musicland was used extensively throughout the seventies and the eighties by a wide variety of artists, including Led Zeppelin, Queen, the Rolling Stones, Electric Light Orchestra, The Three Degrees, Marc Bolan and T-Rex, Deep Purple, Amanda Lear, Freddie Mercury, Sweet and Elton John.

The studio itself was situated in the basement of the Arabella Hotel, just across the street from the flat which was our family home in Munich for much of the eighties. I never could pass the stairway which led down to the studio without humming the refrain...
