There are, of course, two sides to every story. Pussy Riot have been condemned to two years in a penal colony. And yet I feel that it is too easy to say that this trial is a return to the practices of Stalin's Soviet Union. The world has changed so much since those days.
The protests against the trial have been international and vociferous. The outpourings of contempt for this judicial travesty remind me of the actions earlier this year of the Anonymous movement.
I think it is certain that balaclava hoods will be become as iconic as the pallid Guy Fawkes masks... the 'must have' accessories of the ninety-nine percent.
