Some of the trains on the Munich underground railway system still date back to the seventies, when the Olympics spurred so much development of the transportation infrastructure.
But the photos of Nick Frank (here) show that more recent innovation, particularly in respect of the new or refurbished stations on the network, have produced some amazing design and architecture.
