The happiest returns

"Many happy returns of the day!"

How odd that it was only very recently that the true meaning of the familiar birthday greeting dawned on me... the wish that specifically this anniversary should feature with annual regularity in the years to come. All fine and good... a nice sentiment.

Nevertheless the 'retrurns' I cherish above all are those when Jessi returns from Berlin to Munich for a weekend. These happy events should, we have all agreed, occur evey two months!

For her early-May visit we shall assuredly have proper spring weather to welcome her.
